# Why do we need World of GotA?

Let us state the obvious: the Amazon rainforest is dying. Human intervention played a critical role to speed up its destruction, and we have all resources in our hands to revert the situation. Although World of GotA has everything it needs to become a reference in the Dotsama space, we believe that our underlying values is what will make us last.

####  Facts You Should Know

Almost one third of all existing species in the world lives in the Amazon.

The rainforest is responsible for producing 20% of all oxygen in Earth, although it only occupies 2% of land.

The deforestation is reaching a critical level. Over the past 50 years, almost 17% of the Amazon has been destroyed. Not only this cause a potential issue to the 'lungs of the world', but several species became extinct.

####  Our Mission

We know that everything changes real fast in the crypto world - and that's fine. Changes are normally for the good, taking advantages of lesson learned and adapting to this unexplored world of Crypto. However, we think we should ground our stands and beliefs. That's why we are developing the immutable pillars of the Amazon, making sure we will keep true to ourselves as the project evolves. 

While we come up with the Immutable Pillars, we can share some insights of our objectives.

* Create global awareness about the situation in the Amazon
* Support the continuous efforts from several institutions that are working to save species and the Amazon
* Show the world that a crypto community can play a large and positive impact in the real world
* Become a reference for other NFT projects to make a difference.
